| Audience | Auto body techs, collision repair shops, panel beaters, high-volume hand sanding users |
| Size | 2.75" × 13yd (approx. 39 feet) — cut to any length |
| Grit Range | P40–P800 (PSA roll); P80–P800 (Velcro roll) |
| Backing Options | PSA peel-and-stick (for smooth PSA blocks); Velcro hook-and-loop (for H&L blocks) |

- Both rolls use the same PURO ceramic abrasive — the only difference is the backing. PSA for smooth PSA-backed blocks (Durablock, 3M Stikit). Velcro for hook-and-loop blocks (FastPlus FB1, FB2).
- At 13 yards (approx. 39 feet) per roll, the roll format is the most economical way to supply hand block sanding — cut to any length, zero pre-cut waste.
- The Velcro roll is kiss-cut for clean tearing — no scissors needed for standard block lengths. The PSA roll has no perforations — cut with scissors or score-and-snap.
- Both rolls are for dry sanding only. Neither the PSA adhesive nor the hook-and-loop backing is rated for wet use.
- PSA roll: store unused portion with the backing paper on to prevent the adhesive from drying out. Velcro roll: store in a sealed bag to keep the hook face clean.
- Ceramic abrasive self-sharpens under heat — lasts significantly longer per linear foot than aluminum oxide rolls at the same grit.
The roll format exists for one reason: economy. Pre-cut strips cost more per foot and lock you into one length. A 13-yard roll lets you cut exactly what you need for each block and each job — no waste, no leftover strips. For shops that do consistent hand block sanding, one roll covers weeks of production at a fraction of the cost of pre-cut packs.

From a Customer
"I use the Purple PSA Sandpaper Roll F737 for all my spot repairs and panel sanding. It cuts fast, sticks securely to my hand block, and lasts much longer than other rolls I’ve tried. It’s become my go-to sanding roll for every job."

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which roll to buy — PSA or Velcro?
Check your sanding block face. If the block face is smooth rubber or foam, it uses PSA (peel-and-stick) backing — buy the PSA roll. If the block face is fuzzy or has a hook texture, it uses hook-and-loop (Velcro) backing — buy the Velcro roll. The FastPlus FB1 short block and FB2 longboard both use hook-and-loop faces. Durablock and 3M Stikit blocks use PSA faces. Using the wrong roll on the wrong block will result in poor adhesion and the strip sliding during sanding.
How long is 13 yards and how many strips does it make?
13 yards is approximately 39 feet or 468 inches of abrasive. For the FB2 longboard block (15.75 inch strips), one roll yields approximately 29 strips. For the FB1 short block (7.8 inch strips), one roll yields approximately 60 strips. For custom lengths, divide 468 inches by your strip length to calculate yield. No perforations on the PSA roll — cut with scissors. The Velcro roll is kiss-cut and tears cleanly at standard block lengths.
Can these rolls be used wet?
No. Both the PSA roll and the Velcro roll are for dry sanding only. The PSA adhesive degrades with water exposure and will lose grip. The hook-and-loop backing on the Velcro roll is also not rated for wet use. For wet hand sanding, use the BN38 SiC wet/dry sheets (9x11 inch, waterproof latex-backed) cut to fit your block. Available in P80-P2000 for wet sanding clear coat and bare metal.
How do I store the PSA roll between uses?
Keep the backing paper on the unused portion of the PSA roll at all times. PSA adhesive dries out when exposed to air for extended periods, which reduces grip strength. After cutting a strip, fold the backing paper back over the cut end of the roll and store in a sealed plastic bag or the original packaging. Do not store in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Properly stored, the roll maintains full adhesive strength for months.
What grit should I use for primer sanding with a hand block?
P180-P220 for guide coat reading and initial primer leveling. P320 for final primer sand before base coat. Use P80-P120 for heavy filler shaping or removing thick primer build. The ceramic abrasive on both rolls cuts faster and lasts longer than aluminum oxide at the same grit, which means fewer strip changes during a panel leveling session. Start coarser than you think you need — it is faster to step up grits than to spend extra time with a worn fine-grit strip.
Is the roll format more economical than pre-cut strips?
Yes, significantly. The roll gives you approximately 39 feet of abrasive that you cut to any length with zero waste. Pre-cut strips (25-pack) cost more per linear foot but offer convenience — consistent length, no cutting, faster to grab during a job. For shops doing consistent high-volume hand block sanding, the roll pays for itself quickly. For occasional use or when you need a specific strip length consistently, the pre-cut 25-pack is the more practical choice.
