- The 119-hole pattern is designed for maximum dust extraction efficiency on high-hole-count random orbital sanders — more holes means more suction contact area across the disc surface.
- PuroFilm ceramic film abrasive lasts significantly longer than aluminum oxide at fine grits — the cut rate stays consistent from the first pass to the last.
- The full grit range from 80 to 2000 is available in a single disc format — one product covers the entire sanding sequence from stock removal to pre-polish finishing.
- At 1200G, 1500G, and 2000G, the PuroFilm 119H is the only FastPlus disc that carries these ultra-fine grits in a 6 inch format.
- The film backing is more durable and tear-resistant than paper backing — important at fine grits where disc life determines cost per use.
- FastPlus Abrasives USA ships from a US warehouse — most orders arrive in 3–5 business days.
Why Hole Count Matters
The 119-hole pattern is not a marketing feature — it is an engineering decision. On a random orbital sander with a high-hole-count backing pad, each hole in the disc aligns with a dust extraction port. More holes means more of the disc surface is in contact with suction at any given moment. The result is less swarf buildup on the abrasive surface, lower surface temperature, and longer disc life — especially at fine grits where clogging is the primary cause of disc failure.
I have seen the same disc last 30 to 40 percent longer on a high-hole-count sander compared to a standard 8-hole sander at the same grit. At 400G and finer, that difference is significant enough to affect cost per panel in a production environment.
